Objectives:

To understand the interconnectedness of how the gut microbiome profoundly influences how your body and mind work, approaches to support those functions, and why having a spiritual foundation dictates the nature of everything we are and experience in our lives, including your gut, mental, and physical wellbeing.
Brief bio - Luciana Godoi MS, RD, LDN, FMNS, is a highly experienced clinical and Functional Medicine dietitian focusing strongly on gut health and autoimmune dysfunctions associated with compromised digestion. Luciana is passionate and dedicated to helping individuals optimize their well-being through targeted functional nutrition strategies. She is known to be compassionate and provides the empathy and expertise required to assist in the overall well-being of all her patients and clients.
The event is free for SFAND members and $10 for non-SFAND members.

Monica Auslander Moreno, MS, RDN is the founder of Essence Nutrition, a group practice of registered dietitians and psychotherapists in Miami. Monica oversees all of Essence’s private client work while focusing on Essence’s corporate wellness programming, speaking engagements, non-private client nutrition consulting services, school wellness programming, media opportunities, and marketing. She was the dietitian for the Miami Marlins, is the visiting dietitian specialist at Ocean Reef Resort and Club and is also an adjunct professor in the graduate Dietetics and Nutrition program at Florida International University. She is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Miami, serves on the advisory board of Teen Health 101, has served as the Diversity Liaison for the Florida Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and is a past co-chair and current board member of Jewish Community Services of South Florida’s Young Alliance. She is based in Miami and enjoys Pilates, baking without recipes, her sweet elderly spaniel, and surviving motherhood of two small boys.
