A Registered Dietitian is a qualified food and nutrition expert who has met academic and professional requirements to earn the credentials "RD." Registered Dietitians work in clinical settings as part of medical teams, in the food and nutrition industry, in community and public health settings, in academia and research, in business, in journalism, in sports nutrition, in corporate wellness, and in private practice.
